! SPRING HORSE SALE. Messrs and Williams; Ltd., report:—On Saturday, 2nd November, at Palmerston North, we offered a total entry -of 170 horses oil all ci asses. The inquiry for heavy draughts of. good quality waff keen, and those offered on account of Mr R. D. Knight, of Longbnrn, realisedfrom £3O to £4B 15s for geldings, and from £36 10s to £SO for mares. The > greater portion of the entry consisted of light unbroken draughts and spring carters, for which a.limited demand existed and prices ranged from £6 15s to £lB. Hacks made from £7 to £lO, upstanding harness horses £l2 to £l7, inferior sorts of light hacks £2 10s to £5.
