THE LATE STANLEY BEATTIE.

Per Press Association. Levin. October 15.An inquest on the body foand at Waiohonga on Saturday was • held last night by the District Coroner. Four witnesses identified the articles and clothing found with the remains as Stanley Beattie’s, the man missing from Manakau. Constable Satherley, in addition'to identifying the clothing as Beattie’s, said the very long arms and legs of the body found resembled Beattie’s build. Explaining how it came to pass that a ‘ ‘missing “friends’ ’ notice was circulated by the police to the effect that Beattie had been seen alive in Sydney, the constable deposed that a'mau named Bert Walker came to him some weeks ago Sand stated he had seen Beattie in Sydney, and “shouted” a dinner for him. The Coroner’s verdict was “Found Dead.”
