PLUMBERS' EXAMINATION.

The result of the practical plumbers’ examination held at Marton Technical School by Mr ,J. Ogilvie, under the direction of Wanganui Board of Education, was as follows: —

Practical. —Marton: H. Wysocki, C. Bound, F. Bound. Feilding: ?. Glennie. Wanganui; W. Bund, A. Purnell, H. Hanuingtou. O. Aitken and D. Paul.

The theoretical examination held a week previously at Feilding, Marton, and IVangauui, resulted in the following passes : Theoretical. —Marton: H. Wysocki, O. Bound, D. Wysocki, F. Bound, C. Aitken.2 Feilding: P. Glennie. Wanganui: W. Bund, A. Purnell, H. Haunington, G. Ross, R.. Wilson, W. Raines, W. Beaumont, W. Webb, and D. Paul.

In the theoretical class there were only six failures out of 31 candidates, notwithstanding that the high percentage of 85 marks was required to secure a pass, while in the practical division, in which 40 per cent, of a possible 50 was required, nine out of 13 candidates got through. This result is highly creditable both to the instructor, Mr J. _ Graham, of the Wanganui Technical College, and to the candidates themselves.
