GREATFORD YOUNG MEN’S CLUB.

Members of • Greatford Young Men’s Club turned out in full force last evening to extend a farewell grip o’ the friendly hand to two of their highly-esteemed members — Messrs Thomas Wilson and H. H. Stowers, who are leaving the district. Mr Y. Wilson, in the absence of Mr H. Kitney, presided, and .made special reference to the high qualifications and value of the two departing members, wishing them God speed and every prosperity in their new spheres of duty. A lengthy toast list was submitted and duly honoured. Mr Wilson in behalf of the club, presented Mr Stowers with a nicely bound volume of “Byron’s works, ” while a set of hall stand brushes was handed to' Mr Wilson. Items were rendered as follows: —Mr A. Fraser, song; Mr W. Jervis, sen., song; Mr N._Bewis, song (encored); Messrs C. Stewart and J. Hancock, duet; Mr B. Winchcombe, song; Mr C. Stewart, song; Camptown Races was rendered by several members of the club.
