BULLS V. MARTON. A vezy“interestiDg match between teams of the above Clubs was played last evening. A very close contest was the result, the fin ala nd deciding game being still unfinished. The chief in the result of the first 'table between Messrs Richardson and Mason. The game was unfinished and baa been forwarded to Mr Hatherly, of Wanganni. for adjudication. The result of the matches are as follows:
The game between Messrs Hatherly and Brown was abont a record in its way, ss both players got to the 32nd move without a pawn being tkaen. After the gamelsupper was dispersed* Mr Richardson, speaking for the Marton Glob, expressed pleasure at the keenness of the contest,. ( and hoped that several matches/.should be played in the near future.'" Mr Clarke responded for Balls, expressing thanks for the cordial reception and with Mr Richardson hoped that frequent maohea should .be arranged. It was proposed to pick a team from the various Clubs to challenge teams from other distriost.
