APPEAL COURT.
Per Press Association.; Wellington, Jnly 18. The Appeal Court sat this morning to hear an application by Wellington District Law Society foe an order to strike|off the. rolls of bhrriesers and solicitors Wm. Geo Sumerville The misoondnot complained of was that while acting as solicitor to Oathernine Butler, widow, of Wellington, be received £I7OO for tbe purpose of investing it open first mortgage on land, and insteao of so Investing it he fraudulently converted the money to his own use and otherwise fraudulently applied it to some other purpose. There is also another charge of wrongfully appropriating £133 los 4d, the property of a syndicate Mr Gray appeared for the Law Society, and Mr Somerville tu person. The Court consisted of Sir Robert Stout, Sir Joshua Williams, and justices Denfston, Cooper and Chapman. The case is proceeding.
