Yesterday the managers cabled advising arrangements to’play Wellington on the following Saturday, and instructing the team to sail yestai-eve. Before the managers had time to take steps to comply, the team decided that if St had to leave yeater-eve it would uot play yesterday’s match. The President of the New South Wales League cancelled the banquet to ba given to the New Zealanders tomofrow night as a protest against their attitude on the ground that: he could not honour plavers acting insabard fnaiely.
