LIBERAL BEQUESTS.

The late Dr. Ludwig Mond, subject to his wife’s life interest, bequeathed to the Royal Society, London, £50,000 for endowment ot research In natural science, £50,000 to the University of Heidelburg for similar objects, £20,000 to Munich Academy for promotion cf arts, £20,000 for pensions or occasional assistance to the Brunner Moral's Company’s aged and disabled workmen, £30,000 to charities in Oassel, Germany. Also subject to his wife’s life interest and certain conditions as regards housing aud exhibition, ha bequeathed to the Naitonal Gallery 53 pictures chiefly of the Italian and’New fork schools.
