The horses wore worked on the exercise track-outside the course proper. Kaiukn was given trotting exercise. Truthful, Lull, Hatley, St. Bill, Aeolus, and Kuku also did light tasks. Haydn ran two miles and a half, a good part of the distance being traversed “all out.” Playmate was hustled over the last of a fast round, and sent over a hurdle which lie cleared nicely - . Black Squall _ went a long distance at less than his best pace. Marguerite made a good showing over a couple of furlouus. Phaotouitis covered two miles at a comfortable pace. Regulation moved a little gingerly. No work was done on the steeplechase course.
