FIRE AT ELTHAM.

The following premises were destroyed : Mrs D. Adanis, fruiterer; Mrs Hennessy, lolly shop'; Misses Qqweu and- Gave, dressmakers . (on top); Cresswell, general store; uParker, dentist (on top); Miss Robb, .draper; jfrs Leyis, fruitciror.) H. Gfl Ppyuo, jeweller; Walker, : saddler; arid Dixon, blacksmith (partially). The total losses are. estimated iat; £6000; of this £3OOO is insured* £775 being in the Royal. The origin'of the flee Is unknown. The night watchman inspected the building a quarter of au hour before i the .outbreak: The telegraph wire was burnt dowu, but communication was restored * at 9 a.m. to-day.
