It may l>e necessary to explain, however. that by the Ritz is meant not a palatial hotel in Piccadilly, but a restaurant of more modest dimensions in Rosomnn-street, E.G. Its proprietor, Mr. George Jacob familiarly known as Little George—is able to boast that "there are no war prices at the Ritz.'' "But how do you manage it?" a newspaper man in astonishment. Nevertheless, Little George lias yielded to economic pressure to the extent of advancing the price of his threepennv dinner to threepence-halfpenny. Mr. .Jacob has opened a new Ritz. Ritz No. '2 is situated at 50, Shepherd-ess-walk, City-read, E.C. It is a more commanding establishment- than it* Finsbury neighbour.
