Notica is hereby given that the ; follow ing Special Order was made at a special meeting of the Franklin j County Council held ou TIIUES- i DAY, September 3rd, 1911, and will becontirmod at the next ordinary j meeting of tho Council to bo held on | THURSDAY, October Ist, 1914. WHEREAS it is provided by subsection 1 of Section 3 of "The Counties Amendment Act, 1913" that the boundarios of any two or more contiguous counties may from time to time bo altered by the Governor by Proclamation ; and it is further provided by Sub-section 2 of tho said Section 3 that whore tho principal Act is in force in any ono or more of the counties the boundarios whereof are proposed to be altered, a Proclamation under tho said Section 3 may be made in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties AND WHEREAS " The Counties Act, 1908 " being "the principal Act" referred to in the s-iid Subsection 2 of Section 3 is in force in the County of Manukau and the County of Franklin respectively AND WHEREAS the respective Councils of the County of Manukau and of the County of Franklin have agreed to alter the boundaries of the said counties respectively as appears by the said resolution AND . WHEREAS the proposed alteration of the said boundaries does not affect the boundaries of any existing Road District or Town District and « in pursuance of such agreement the Franklin County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as ) follows: 1. That the boundaries of ths Franklin County be altered by ex- k eluding therefrom the land described in the First Schedule hereto. 2. That the boundaries of the t; Franklin County as so altered shall a be as described in the Second Schedule hereto.

3. That a petition be presented to His Excellency the Governor pursuant to the said Sub-sections 1 and 2of Section praying that the boundaries of the Franklin County be altered as aforesaid. FIRST SCHEDULE. Aiea proposed to be withdrawn from the County of Franklin. All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the northeast generally by the sea from the northern-most coruer of Waitawa j Block to the Puwhenua stream; towards the south generally by the \ Wharekawa No. o Block, to the j eastern boundary of Allotment No. | 102 Otau Parish ; towards the west j generally by the last-mentioned Al- j lotment and Allotment 101 and 100 1 of the aforesaid Parish: again to- | wards the south generally bv tho i last-mentioned Allotment and by the j road forming its noithern boundary j by Allotments 'J7a, '.'7, 80, '.to, (17 j and 2 of the aforesaid Parish, and by j the Wairoa river to tho southernmost comer of Allotmout ;)1 of the j said Parish: towards the north ! generally by the last-mentioned Al- ! lotmeut and the road forming its i eastern boundary and Allotment ! 85 of the same Parish; and towards j the wc>t generally by tho last-men-tioned Allotment and Allotments * 1 and 82 of the aforesaid Parish, by Mataitai No ti Block, by Allotment No 106, and tho road forming tho north-western boundaries of Allotments 7-la and 71b, to the western boundary of Kiripaka Block and by the western boundaries of that Block and To Kawakawa No. 2, Te lvawakawa, and Waitawa Blocks to the place of commencement.
