A wedding of great interest in the district took place c n Wednesday, the 18th inst., when liss Winnie Flay was married to Mr T. Townsend. The bride wore a navj blue costume and pretty hat of crea a with crown of roses. The two bri lesmaids, Miss Ivy Flay and Miss La idon, wore dresses of cream, hats relie ed with pink. All three carried pret y boquets. The bridegroom was at ended by his two brothers, Messrs W. and J. lownsend. ] The concert promoted by tho Fanners' Union tofk place last Friday and considering the very bad night was a great success. Mr Morgon kindly came jdl the way irom Mercer, also Miss Stpfoel from town, and their help was gfeatly appreciated. Among local items |Mr Best and Mr Wilson's recitationj were onjoyed. Mr Thomas took tha chair and thanked all performers, amgratulating the Union on its advancement.
