The fir.-t annual meeting of the Kamarama Fiowor Show and Industrial Exhibition was held in the Public Hall on 'lhursday evening, and was well attended. The balance sheet was lead and adopted. It showed a credit halance in the hank of almost £6, which was considered very satisfactory. The old committee and officers were reelected, Mr. F. Ballard being elected as vice-president. It was decided to form a membership for the Show of 5s p-ryear, anyone becoming a member being entitled to a free family ticket for entrance to Show. After Mime discussion it was agreed that the school was o,uite inadequate for the number of exhibits and attendance last year. and that this year the show should be held in the hall, with a marquee for the flower exhibits. The date of th> Show was fixed for Friday, November 22nd, entries to close on November 12th. Members of Committee will receive entries as well as the Secretary. The usual fortnightly euchre social was held in the hall on Wednesday evening, when time was another large attendance. The prizes were won by Miss A. Townsend and Mr W. Tooiuan. High prices are still going for property in this and surrounding districts. Mr Hosking's farm on the south load was the latest to change hands, the price obtained being £4O an acre.
