WEDDING BELLS
SCHICKER—STEINER The marriage took place at St. Patrick’s Church, Putaruru, on May 21, of Hilda Josephine, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Steiner, of Lichfield, Putaruru, to Albert Silfan, second son of Mr. and the late Mrs. A. Schieker, of Hawera, Taranaki. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a gown of white satin, made with a heart-shaped neckline, and a lowwaisted fitting bodice, from which the full skirt fell into a graceful train. Her tulle veil was held iu place by a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and roses. The two bridesmaids, Miss Eileen Steiner, a friend of the bride, and Miss Lita Steiner, a cousin, were dressed alike in frocks of pink crepe. Each wore a short green tulle veil and carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums.
The groom was attended by his brother, Mr. Ernest Schieker, as best man, and the bride’s brother, Mr. Tony Steiner, as groomsman. The reception was held in the Lichfield Hall.
The bride wore for travelling a smart green tailored suit with which she wore matching accessories. In the evening a dance was held in the Lichfield Hall, a Swiss orchestra providing the music.
