MORE INFORMATION WANTED Officials Invited To Meeting Electric power cuts were discussed by the Matamata Chamber of Commerce at the monthly meeting. Mr. H. E. Schofield stated that no information on the point of why this board had such very heavy euts had been given. In Hamilton the radios were going- all the time* and he understood that Huntly had no cutsMr. J. Carruthers remarked that Te Awamutn had less cuts than the Thames Valley board had. Mr. W- L. Hollis commented that the crux of the question had not been answered .in that the allocation to tho board had not been stated. If they knew that, they could make a comparison with other boards. A Member: Work it out from the seven per cent, being stated to be 71.000 units over the allocation. ,Tt was finally decided that the chamber write to the Thames Valley Electric Powqr Board asking, If possible, for the allocations to that board and to other boards, and also whether the unequal cuts as between boards were due to the original and unequal agreements made between the State Hydro-Electric Department and Individual boards.

It was decided to send a copy of the letter to the Morrlnsville Chamber of Commerce.,

Mr. Hollis added that he now felt that as there was very great dissatisfaction throughout the district the chamber should ask if the manager and the engineer would attend a public meeting and explain the whole of the details affecting the position.
