ANNUAL MEETING The, annual meeting of the PutarurU: 5 District Ambulance Society was held- last week, there being a fair attendance of members. ' The annual accounts revealed a surplus of £2l 13s, after providing for a sum of £l2B 13s 9d for depreciation. Election} of Officers The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Dr. R. C. Doherty; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. R. Robinson, C. A. Finch, W. Kingscott; secretary-treasurer, Mr. V. L. Drummond; solicitors, Messrs. Mason and Grahame; auditor, Mr. C. V. Pearce. It was decided to open a Post Office Savings Bank account to ibe known as the ambulance replacement fund account, to which all subsidies received from the Waikato Hospital Board will be paid. Mr. Robinson and the secretary were appointed trustees. Appreciation of the services rendered by the voluntary drivers was recorded, but it was pointed' out that they were still without the services of a driver during working hours. The control committee was authorised to repay a further ten debentures, those to be repaid being drawn by lot.
