i. *♦ —■— PUTARURU MEETING The monthly meeting of the Putaruru branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers was held recently in their rooms. Mrs. Lithgow presided over a good attendance of members- Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames IW. Van Veen, Campbell and P. F. Karl. , Three new members were proposed. An invitation was received from the Tapapa institute to attend their birthday meeting on 14th June. As the Town Board were unable to include the cutting of the division lawns in the work of their Garden of Memories caretaker it was decided to tbtnin quotes for a lawn mower ocally. A letter of thanks is to be sent to £r. V. L. Drummond for his donation f £2 2s from the audit funds sent to im. All members appreciate this isture. A letter from the St. John Amilance asking that two members be to their committee resulted i the election of Mesdames Drumond and A. Tomalin as the division’s legates. Mrs. P. D.
