DEER STALKERS IN UREWERA COUNTRY

From Ruatahuna come reports that this roaring season lias attract-

ed a record number of stalkers for many years. has for several seasons stalked in and around that district. secured a remarkable even head of a 10-pointer. Another even 10-pointer was secured l>y Mr. Gordon Frazer, who was for

many years on the staff of the Internal Affairs Department dealing with deer eradication and stationed at Ruatahuna. Many stalkers report that the majority of heads are heavily timbered in that area.
