MARKET PAR TO FIRMER FOR MOST GRADES A large catalogue was submitted to a full bench of buyers at the Otago Farmers’ Co-op. Association sale held on Tuesday, and although competition was not keen, the prices remained firm for most grades on last sale’s values. Values in comparison with last sale were: Broken and summer grades on par, autumn grades being par to a shade easier, while blood-stained grades were firm. Following is the range of prices: Small, to 301 d; broken, 59d to 125 d; milky, to Slid; summers, 68d to 72d; runners, 64d to 82Ad; racks, 75d to 98id; dawny autumns, to 120 d; early autumns, 130 d to 135 d; late autumns, 138 d to l’ssd; incomin'gs, 13'0d to l-61d; spotty autumns, to 124 d; spotty incomings, to 130 d; early winter, 124 d to 161 d; weevily, to S9d; 3rd blacks, to 72d; 2nd blacks, to 127 d; 3rd fawns, to 95d; 2nd fawns, to 134 d; hareskins, to USd; red deer skins, to 4s per lb. Next sale is scheduled for June 4.
