Arapuni.
League of Mothers The first meeting of the year of the Arapuni branch of the League of Mothers took place last week. The meeting took the form of a social afternoon. An interesting Dennison crepe paper demonstration was given by the branch secretary, Mrs. W.' Griffin. Brisk trade was done by the trading table. Tea and social chat closed a happy afternoon, the hostesses being Mesdames Dunstan, Long and Birse. Sports Club’s Work The fencing round the Bowling and Croquet Club’s greens is well in hand, and it is hoped to sow the seed for the lawns shortly. Personal Mr. James, wlto has been spending several weeks with his daughter, Mrs. W. Griffin, has now returned to his home in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Brown have returned to Arapuni after a holiday spent with friends at Thames and Auckland. Public Works Dance A dance was held by the cricket club from the Public Works Department last week, when a good attendance helped to augment the funds of the club to provide for gear. Excellent music was provided by Bert Bragg’s Revellers.
