SWIMMING BATH SITES
AT ORAKA STREAM Nothing Further Done Reference to the proposed swimming bath for Putaruru was made at Monday’s meeting off the Putaruru District High School Committee. In reply to a question asked by Mr. A. Anderson, Mr. J. Gawith, a member of the sub-committee appointed at the annual meeting of the Putaruru Swimming Club to investigate possible sites for a swimming bath at the Oraka stream, stated that nothing further had been done. “It is a pity. they have let it rest,” commented the headmaster (Mr. R. G. Hutton).
