TOKOROA RABBIT BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Tokoroa Rabbit Board was held in the Tokoroa Hall on Monday, when the following members were present : Messrs. L. J. G. Hamilton (chairman), J. Campbell, A. Sloper and E. Leslie. INSPECTOR-FOREMAN. There were nine applications for the position of inspector-foreman and after considerable discussion Mr. J. H. Blain, of Tokoroa, was appointed. EXCLUSION REQUESTED. Mr. J. E. West requested the board to agree to the exclusion of certain lands within the board’s area on the ground that the rabbits had been exterminated, but after some discussion it was decided to defer the matter until a future meeting. GENERAL. The secretary was instructed to procure special spades for use when poison was being laid. The chairman, secretary and inspector were deputed to inspect the area between Tokoroa and Waotu
with a view to fixing the boundaries to be worked by the poison gangs. FINANCE. An account for £l7 19s lOd for wages was passed for payment.
