That the rabbit pest that once menaced some of the most productive grazing land in the Manawatu has greatly diminished, is revealed in the annual report of the Manawatu Rabbit Board. It is anticipated that at no distant date, with the hearty cooperation of the settlers, the pest will no longer threaten in an alarming manner. It is gratifying to note (says the report) that the majority of the settlers throughout the district recognise the wisdom of combined efforts, consistent with the instructions of the board, which has spared no pains in explaining methods by means of demonstration, and in recommending the latest and best means for the destruction of the pest. It now only remained for the settlers to continue to act in concert with the board to obtain its objective.
