A tale of terrible suffering comes from Tlalcomlie. We (Manawalu Times) are informed that on Thursday last a man named Thomson, a Dane, was engaged bushfolluig, when a tree fell on him, breaking lus leg and pinning him to the ground. All through Thursday and the bitterly cold night he lay there, and it was not until late on Friday that he was missed and search mails for hun. When found, of course, he was in a pitiable state ; indeed, tin* only wonder is that the man was alive. Thomson had to he conveyed by train to the Wanganui Hospital.
