LONDON, March 20. Sir Douglas Haig reports; We drove off raiders north-east of Armentieres

The enemy artillery is active at Ypres, Cambrai, Vcrmelles, La Basseo Canal, and Armentieres. We dropped nine tons of bombs on billets and dumps, Busigny railway station, and two aerodromes. The air lighting is most intense between large formations. We brought down 28 enemy machines. Twelve of ours arc missing. Enemy attempts to capture our advanced posts at Beverdyk were repulsed. Numerous enemy dead were found in the re-occupied trenches.
