11b. flour, 2 ounces sugar, 1 dessertspoonful baking powder, 2 ounces butter or margarine, 2 ounces lard, Jib currants, 1 small breakfast-cupful of milk. Mix the powder with the flour ; rub in the margarine and lard, and then stir in the currants and sugar. Mix to a dough with the milk ; knead very lightly, roll out J inch thick, cut to the required site, and bake in a quick oven for a quarter of an hour. The sugar may be omitted.
