WAIRAU LICENSING ELECTION.

The triennial elections for the return of five members on the Wairau Licensing Committee was deld on Tuesday. All tho members of the old Committee stood for re-election, with the addition of Mr W, H, Masey. The latter was successful, and Mr J. J. Corry was defeated. The Havelock figures (given below) show that very little interest was taken in tho election locally; Chaytor 10, Corry 8, Jellyman 12, Macey 10, Maitland 12, and Kayner 8.
