NEW ZEALAND’S WAR BILL.
£37,907,451 TO END OF 1917.
A statement submitted to the Hon. Sir James Allen (Minister for Defence) shows that the total of Hew Zealand's war expenses until December 31st 1917, was £32,513,711 12s Bd, the expenditure for the December quarter of last year being £5,667,236 10s 4d. The imprests outstanding at December 31st amounted to £4,866,988 9s Id—in New Zealand, £2,979,290 Os lOd; in London, £1,887,698 8s Sd—and the charges and expenses of raising the war loans totalled £226,750 17s 7d, making, with the total expenditure until December 31st, a grand total of £37,607,450 9s 4d.
