Appalling Story From Russia.

GERMANS POISON ENTIRE VILLAGE Petrograd, Feb. 29. The Novoe Vremya publishes an appalling story of German poison gas exterminating the entire population of a Galician village. The Russian troops who ware posted in the village barely had time to put on their masks before the attack was launched. The Russians readily repulsed this, but the civilians were wiped out. Women were driven mad with terror by the sight of the on-coming greenish vapour, bringing certain death. They killed their children with their own hands in order to save them from torture. Some took refuge in a church, but the fatal cloud killed them. The Russian soldiers, on returning after the fight, ware confronted with the ghastly spectacle of bodies of I men, women, and children, in attitudes testifying to the unspeakable suffering which the victims had undergone.
