A Train Smash

New Tork, Jan. 24. Mr James Harman, ex-p»sident of the Illinois Central Railway, Mr Frank Melcher, second vice-president of the Bock Island Railway, Mr Peirce, general solicitor to the Rock Island and other officials were killed in a collision between two Illinois Central trains. The engine of one train ploughed its way through a private car containing the officials. The cause of the collision was an extra delay due to one train failing to take water at the proper^stoppiug-,place. None of the ordinary passengers were hurt.
