Tragedy in the Bush

YOUNG MARRIED WOMAN KILLED Sydney, Jan. 23. A young couple named Ball, who recently arrived from England and were employed at an hotel at Bingsra, were missing lor five days. The charred remains of the woman were then found in the bush. Thera was evidence that she bad been killed by blows, and that an attempt had been made to destroy traces of the tragedy. . The tragedy is most mysterious, The couple • were left in charge of Mack’s selection. Mr Mack, on returning for a few days, found the house open and no one about. A search disclosed the remains of a fire in the bush and the remnants of the woman’s clothing, a charred pelvis, a leg and skull bone. A man, supposed to be Ball, visited an hotel on Tuesday night aud cashed Mr Mack’s cheque, and next morning purchased a ticket at the railway station 20 miles distant. A warrant has been issued for Ball’s arrest on a charge of murder. Sydney, Jan. 24. It is reported that a man was arrested in Sydney to-night in connection with the Bingara tragedy. The police are reticent.
