DRIVER, THE GREAT MAGICIAN

The entertainment to be given by Mx- Driver at the Town Hall on Saturday night next promises to be something but of the ordinary. He will be assisted by a clever company, including Mile. M. Kene, the brilliant solo pianiste, and will present a performance quite ■ new to Havelock. The Press and public unanimously agree that Driver is the highest example among the exponents of mystery. Driver is original. He is a ■worker of Avondefs, presents nothing that is old, copies no one. The effects that he produces, admittedly illusions, are so clever that science is baffled and vision is discredited by the belief to beholders that see all their world and its laws set at naught. What is impossible to others he makes real. The theatregoers of Havelock will see for the first time feats that have been described by travellers from the home of magic by those who have seen the Fakirs of India and the sorcerers of Egypt at their best; feats that have been described but never until now produced. Driver performs them all; and as to the spirit mediums and their so-called phenomena, Mr Driver is able to produce all the manifestations of the most celebrated mediums, and this ho -does on a well-lighted stage, and surrounded by a committee of gentlemen selected from the audience. Altogether the entertainments presented by Mr Driver 'and his company are such as appeal to all sections of a community, and should draw a large audience on Saturday.
