Assault and Robbery.

Wellington, April 2, An assault and robbery was committed in Sydney Street last night, and this evening a man was arrested on suspicion of .being concerned in the affair. Prom the information it appears that a Wellington man named James Richardson, arrived in town from Feilding on Monday night, with a considerable sum of money in his possession, and while he was proceeding along Sydney Street he was assaulted aod robbed of /44 About 9 o’clock to-night detectives Cameron and Hammond arrested a man named Norman Monson on supicion, and at the Magistrate’s Court to-morrow he will be charged with assaulting Richardson and robbing him of £44.
