The Armenian Difficulty.
London, June 18
The British Ambassador, with the concurrence of the Powers, has granted an extension of time for the reply of the Turkish Government upon the Armenian question.
June 19.
Turkey, in reply to the Powers, denies that the Berlin Treaty confers a right on the Powers to demand guarantees for Armenia, and hopes the Sultan’s sovereign rights will not be prejudiced. The Porte accepts the principal proposed reforms, but requests further discussion upon details.
