Education Commissioners.

The quarterly meeting of the Education Commissioners was held in the Secretary's office, Blenheim, on Tuesday, 7th inst. Present: Messrs C. H. Mills, M.H.R., H. G. Clark, and A. P. Seymour (in the chair). Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed. Resolved, That the Secretary inform all licensees that their rent is due in advance, and unless paid before six months expire their accounts will be handed to a solicitor for collection. A letter was received from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, intimating the Board were willing to recommend that 50 acres of land should be set ande as a reserve in place of the section to be transferred to Mr Chaytor if the Trustees would point out a suitable selection. Rssolved, That a block of land in the Raydale Run be recommended for the purpose. Resolved, That the sum of £ls 4/6 be placed on fixed deposit in the Bank of New Zealand, and £BO 8/- forwarded to the Canterbury High School. The Secretary's salary (£6 7/-) was passed for payment, and the Board jtljen adjourned.
