Pelorus Road Board.
A pieeting of the above Board was held oh Wednesday. Present: Messrs J. Duncan (in the chair), J. Davies, and H. M, Reader.
The minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed.
Correspondence outwards having been read the inward 'Correspondence was dealt with.
From Mr Inman’s 1 -solicitor re repairing bridge, and stating that Mr Leslie had interfered with Mr Inman proceeding with the work,—Left in hands of the members of the Kaituna subdivision to deal with.
From W. S. Staite, asking Board to adopt prospecting regulations.—Consideration postponed till next meeting. From Herbert Price for permission to fell bush in the Rai Valley for roadway to his property.—Permission granted. From miners up the Wakaraarina River, asking for the track from the township to' The Forks be put in repair.—The Inspector was instructed to expend £5 in making the road passable.
A Gazette notice was read vesting the section of 13 acres near the Pelorus Bridge and the Island in the river of 9 acres in the Board, also that a Domain Board be constituted.
Owing to a full Board not being present the consideration of the question of calling for tenders for the maintenance of the main road was postponed till next meeting, At the same time, Mr Tee was requested to act as Inspector for another month. Resolved,' That applications be invited for cattle-trespass rangers for the three subdivisions. On the recommendation of Mr Duncan it was'resolved, That the road formed last year at Mahakipawa be metalled, and that tenders be called for the work, which was to be proceeded with as soon as possible. Resolved, That two more piles be put' in to extend the lecently erected wire dam at the Wairau River,

Woodhouse, £8 12/8; Secretary Licensing Committee, £2 10/-.
A meeting of the Domain Board was then held, but no business was transacted with exception of appointing Mr Duncan Chairman.
