Auckland, Monday. The wages offered by Government for the unemployed is 4s 6d per diem. Wellington, Monday. Sir Julius Vogel arrived from Christchurch to-day. Government have decided to create the Counties of Coromandel, Thames, Ohinemuri, Tauranga, and Whakatane a new police district, and Inspector Goodall, of Wellington, will take charge of it.
