Our persistent efforts in pointing out the errors of the administration of affairs by the Cook County Council are rapidly bearing fruit. The Patutahi settlers had to take the bull by the horns, and however inclined the festive animal may be to kick, justice must and will be done —but not without a struggle—mark ye that! Ormond town is now rampageous about the Mangakino creek, and we appeal to any one who knows the road whether it is not a standing disgrace to the public body that assumes the control of the road passing over it. What is the next thing we see ? —Utter dissatisfaction in every riding in the County. Need we wonder, therefore that the ratepayers of the Waimata, Gisborne North, Waiapu, and Tologa believe in the wildness of their spirits that they should get fair play. At the meeting announced to take place on Thursday next we shall doubtless hear some interesting facts disclosed.
