(own correspondent.) . Christchurch, Monday. On Friday afternoon 4,998 forfeited ' shares m the Southern Cross Petroleum Company were sold by auction. The highest price obtained was 6d, at which 4° s ol d ;50 sold at sd, 2,075 at 4d, and 2,833 at 3d.
