A Gallant Rescue.
(own correspondent.) Dunedin, Monday. A man named Calderwood fell off the pier at Port Chalmers, and was drawn under the sponsons of the Kopuati, when a young lad named Jackson pluckily jumped into the water and held Calderwood up until assistance arrived. Calderwood was much exhausted when rescued.
