MYSTERIOUS SUBMARINES
COAST OF CANADA ORDER FOR PATROL SEVERAL CRAFT SEEN (Elec. Tel. Copyright—Unitod Press Assn.) (Reed. April 21, 3 p.m.) OTTAWA, April 20.
After investigating reports from the ■captains of three freighters and three schooners that a submarine or submarines of an unknown nationality were hovering off the coast of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Minister of Defence, Mr. lan Mackenzie, ordered a naval patrol at the mouth of Halifax harbour.
The Halifax Star states that naval officials are satisfied that more than one and possibly four submarines have been operating in the vicinity. The craft were first sighted from a Canadian' Air Force plane.
