ANTI-GAS ‘BABY HELMETS’
LONDON, March 13. The Government has ordered 1,400,000 anti-gas “baby helmets” for early distribution to babies under the age of two, and also 1,300,000 special respirators for children between the ages of two and four years. The “baby helmets,” which have been successfully tested in laboratories, will be demonstrated to-day in the presence of mothers, to test their reaction on babies. A recent private anti-gas invention is a perambulator which has level handlebars, which convert it into a gas proof chamber, fitted with pumping and filtering apparatus.
