CLOSING OF STATION
PURCHASE OF 4ZM • UNUSUAL STIPULATION (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN. this day. Notice has been received by Mr. R. Walls, owner of radio station 4ZM, which was recently purchased by the Government, that the station is to close down at the end of this month. A stipulation is that no announcement to this effect is to be made over the air. The reason for this action on the part of the Government is not apparent, and the station will consequently go off the air on March 31 without any previous notification on its part.
