AID IF NEEDED EMPIRE DEFENCE PLANS (Reed. March 21, 2 p.m.) OTTAWA, March 20. Denouncing the seizure of Czechoslovakia as wanton and unjustifiable, the Prime Minister, Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, said in the Canadian House of Commons amidst cheers that if any aggressor 'attacked Britain there would be no doubt about what the decision of the Canadian people and the Canadian Parliament would be. "Canada is ready for the fullest consultation with Britain and the Empire," lie added. A Toronto message states that the Premier of Ontario, Mr. MLtehell Hepburn, is sponsoring a motion in the Legislature that the Dominion Government should Jake icognisance of the fact that the European crisis calls for immediate action on the part of the component parts of the Empire co support any action which may be deemed necessary by the Imperial Council.
