Centennial
Sir,—lt is interesting to read of the advance Centennial publications. There is "Brave Days" (pioneer women), the official book of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union, ''The Hawke's Bay Provincial History" is to be ready in November, and "Wellington Provincial History" is now in press. The Women's Institute book of pioneer tales will be out in November. Now, when does our district book go to press? Much has been collected—much to collect, probably. I note that it is mooted that individuals should subscribe. That is well, but one hopes that the history gets as much monetary support as the beach, for now, and no later, is the time for it and, I fear, much of value has been lost with the passing of veryold pioneers. A WELL-WISHER.
