MAKARAKA NEWS
(Herald Correspondent*.) There was a good attendance of members and supporters of the New Zealand Labour Party at the Maka-raka-Matawhero Hall recently, when the Parliamentary member for the district, Mr: A. G. Hultquist. delivered an interesting address. The speaker dealt with various aspects of exchange control, and at the conclusion was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Mr. Jas. Middleton presided. Mr. and Mrs. L. Eade, Mrs. Darton and Miss M. Herbert have returned after spending several weeks in Wellington.
