CONGRATULATIONS VOICED LETTER BY. FIRST .MAIL The congratulations of the Auckland Chamber on the occasion of the opening of the new Auckland air link are conveyed in a letter received by the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce. The letter, which formed part of the first air mail between the two districts, reads as follows: "We are sending this letter by the first direct air mail between Gisborne and Auckland, and desire to congratulate your chamber and your district upon this extension of the facilities for communication between you and the rest of the Dominion. "We hope that the service will be well patronised both by the residents in your district and by Aucklanders, and that an extension of the frequency of the service will be necessary at an early date."
