Y.M.C.A. CLUB'S REPORT | I SUCCESSFUL SEASON I A successful season is reviewed in the annual report of the Y.M.C.A. hockey club to be presented at the annua'l meeting to-morrow night. After drawing twice with last season's champion team, Caledonian, the Y.M.C.A. senior A team won the linal match and 'the leadership in the A division, then drew with Waituhi, winners of the B division, <to decide the championship, Y.M.C.A. and Waituhi toeing co-holders of the championship shield, hi a play-off, Y.M.C.A. won the medals donated by Mr. L. Cooper, The club had three teams in.' the competitions, two in the A division and one in the junior. All teams gave a good account of themselves. Senior representative honours were gained by A. Coker, M. Lynsky, K. Nicol, B. Crosby, F. Gavin, B. Harrison and P. Jones. The club did not undertake any engagements outside me district last year, but hopes to do so during ithe coming season. The club's finances were helped somewhat by a series of dances, and the season was concluded by a dinner at which Mr. Cooper presented his medals. The club's thanks were expressed to Mr. Cooper, and also to Mr. and Mrs. Coker, Mr. Leo Davy, to the coach, Mr. F. Forman, to .the St. John Ambulance Association and the Poverty Bay Hockey Association for their support.
