KOTEMAORI NEWS

♦ The monthly meeting of the Kotemaori Gardening. Circle was held at Mrs. Bee's home, there being a fair attendance. After the roll call Mrs. Bee gave an interesting talk on; Greek mythology and its origin of llower colourings. The brass bowl for the most points in the competitions for the year was won by Mrs. S. Jones, who also secured the trophy for the best bloom. The monthly competitions resulted:—Best ■ Bloom Mrs. Bee, 1; Mrs. Jones and Miss Monteath, 2. Tomatoes.—Miss Montcath. 1. Flower Names.—Miss Monteath, 1. The fourth card evening of the Women's Institute was held on Wednesday, when there was a good "attendance. The prises were won by Mr. Couper and Mrs. Breeze. The ladies' committee dispensed a delicious supper. The monthly meeting of the Kotemaori Box Study Group was held at Mrs. Murohv's home, there being an excellent attendance, everyone showing a keen interest in the subject, "Beauty In The Home," which dealt with many of the problems connected with interior decoration and furnishing. ________
